Even after Schlatt was gone, his presence was still lingering around the area. There is no escape from the past and he was a great example of that. Coins littering the street, the sight of his old office and the lasting wounds on citizens and friends alike. Schlatt may be gone, yet somehow in the afterlife he still is hurting others. Quackity faced the shorter end of the stick for a while. Working directly under the cruel man was difficult for him. Not only did he experience emotional abuse, but physical too. Yet, as time went on he and the lands began to recover from Schlatt’s rule. Together, he and his friends rebuilt L’manburg and hid any traces of the goat’s presence. Everything was fine, until you arrived.
Sure, you didn’t look exactly like Schlatt but you both share the same horns. The sight sent Quackity into a panic attack, the man taking refuge in his house for days on end. As he ran away, he caught view of your saddened eyes. But, the horns, oh how they sent a pain through his body. How your eyes reminded him of long nights and bloody moments. He became a recluse for a week, not wanting to risk seeing you. It took Sapnap and Karl days of convincing to lure him out of his house once more.
